Primary Responsibilities: As a Director of Client Service and Strategy, will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships and ensuring the successful execution of our strategies. This is a hybrid role where you will serve as the senior client service and account “general manager” while also serving as a strong strategic partner.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Service and Strategic Sensibility: Serve as a strong client service lead with solid strategic sensibilities. Work with senior leads to understand overall business priorities and put forward strategic recommendations. Be accountable for ensuring that strategy is delivered effectively across integrated campaigns. Effectively triage client changes in direction and review materials with a grounded strategic lens. Collaborate with the Solutions lead to keep accounts on track across Brand and DSE. Manage clients through project life cycles.
- Internal Team Structure and Management: Design, build and nurture a large team of direct reports at all levels. Help to delegate and assign work to ensure maximum efficiency and delivery success. Grow and mentor your team to foster ongoing exposure to developmental opportunities and timely ongoing feedback. Flexible in approach, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to help build as we go.
- Multi-Indication Rare Disease / Complex Disease Management: Bring clarity and precision to complex multi-indication disease e states. Navigate and manage around our agile model, building trust and direct communication lines with clients to set the team up for success.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment
- Business Insight: Understand clients’ businesses, industry, competitors, key drivers, and environment. Identify opportunities to bring value to our clients’ businesses and grow business organically.
- Brand Objectives: Articulate clients’ brand objectives and ensure they are incorporated into recommendations and all work. Help shape strategies and develop content and activation plans.
- Campaign Execution: Lead the flawless execution of US HCP and Patient integrated campaigns.
Management and Execution
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in delivering launch programs. Direct and oversee the development and execution of integrated healthcare marketing campaigns.
- Client Management: Build senior client partnerships, lead strategic growth with proactive solutions, and keep teams aligned through clear communication
- Collaborate with the Solution Lead to craft strategic and project proposals that fit within the time, budget and resource parameters available. Help ensure all tactics are delivered on time and within budget through effective project and budget management, risk mitigation, and active participation in client promotional review and submission processes.

Position offers competitive pay with benefits based on experience and qualifications.
- The salary range for this role at the associate director level is $180,000-$250,000+ per year
- The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at Coefficient Health. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at Coefficient Health, and we encourage you to apply if this range falls outside of your expectations.
Desired Skills + Experience: We seek highly motivated individuals with a strong track record of professional achievement who can bring intellectual curiosity, determination, and creativity to our client work. You must have the following qualifications:
- Progressive Experience at Healthcare Advertising and Marketing Agencies serving as AOR: Over 10 years of experience in brand and/or engagement strategy, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry.
- Industry Knowledge: A thorough understanding of marketing communications and regulations within the U.S. pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
- Pharma Launch Expertise: Proven experience with pharmaceutical product launches and preferably both patient and HCP integrated marketing strategies. Committed to guiding the team through a peak period of activity to ensure success.
- Deep experience in digital delivery: Proven track record of delivering digital-first campaigns. With a baseline understanding of good UX/UI, digital design, and performance measurement best practices.
- Team Player and Independent Worker: Thrives both autonomously and within collaborative teams.
- Educational Credentials: A university degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
- Exceptional Communicator: Strong presentation and communication skills are a must.
- Willingness to Travel: Availability to travel as needed.
- Proximity to NYC: Must be located near NYC to be on-site from Tuesday to Thursday, with additional days as needed.
